Class again. I'll alert you to when something incredible new happens in that.
Lunch time, walked in the cafeteria, saw a whole fish on someone’s plate, and then didn’t see my staple green beans behind the counter, so Jenny and I decided to return to the hotel for cheeseburgers (saw them on the menu last night). Best. Decision. Ever. I been craving a burger since I got here (can you believe I went over 2 weeks without one?). These were fabulous, huge, good quality meat, white cheese and bacon. Came with French fries, and they had ketchup. Expensive, but we could likely split one in the future, and it hit the spot so well I think it was worth it.
Quick nap, and then we were supposed to attend a Taiji Boxing demonstration/class. We walked to the address, but never found the class, so we decided to wander around a bit. Ended up by the Wal-mart shopping center, but checked out the other stores, and got some Starbucks (a guy in our group is addicted). On the walk back to the hotel we chose the less beaten path (by us at least) and passed a number of little shops. Eventually Jenny and I started going into them, and checking out the clothes. She bought several dresses, and I picked up one myself. There were a lot of stores we didn’t hit, so we’ll have to explore again another day.
There’s a little strip of stores/restaurants on a side street by the hotel, and that’s where we’d had that meal the first night where we ordered in excess and still only spent $3 a person. We’ll probably end up eating in that area most of the time. Tonight we went with the Korean restaurant that we’d been considering several days before. Only one of us had ever had Korean food, but we all ended up enjoying it. There are several Korean restaurants in the area, so we might try some different ones. Afterwards we picked another restaurant on that block that had an upstairs outside patio, and had a few more beers. I still haven’t acquired a taste for it, but I can sip on a cup while the others pour them down.
Back to the hotel, and changed for that double workout. I figure tiring myself out will help me sleep better.
